Science Activity

Some children in P7 had an opportunity to attend 2 science and technology events this week. On Monday we hosted the STEM Challenge in our school when local school teams competed to design and solve a technology challenge. They had to build a bridge that could hold a weight for a specific length of time. Well done to both teams who entered from St. Brigid’s and particularly well done to Team 1 who managed to win the challenge. They now go on to represent the school in the NI Final at Jordanstown University in June. A second group of children travelled to St. Colmcille’s PS to take part in a similar event whereby they had to design a "zip-line" that could transport an egg safely from one point to another. The teams were mixed across schools for this event. Well done to the children who participated and thanks to the staff of St. Colmcille’s for their invitation to attend.
